"Czech" out Prague (Part Two): Cheers to Beer!

I don’t drink, but I’m married to a beer snob. Why is Hubs a beer snob you ask? He abhors Miller Lite, Budweiser, and all those wannabe beers. Microbrews are more to Hub’s liking. In Europe, they say that Miller Lite, Budlight, etc. are “baptized” beer.  Meaning, water has been added. Ha!  During our travels, when the opportunity exists, a tour of a microbrewery or brewery are always in order. This time it was Pilsner Urquell in the town of Plzeň, which is about an hour and half outside of Prague.  Did you know the Czech Republic is the #1 consumer of beer in the world per capita?

The malt made the air smell super yummy!

The air was so cold down here that you could see your breath!

fermenting yeast…
