Baltic/Scandinavian Adventure: Gothenburg

Gothenburg was another favorite city of our cruise. It felt more authentic than Stockholm, because it’s a college town. We came into contact with more locals than tourists. It gave off such a great vibe.  We were so excited about all the food, because a local directed us to one of the numerous food trucks in town. Hubs and I fell in love with the popular food truck scene, since our visit to the Pacific Northwest of the US a few years ago. We’ve tried to seek them out ever since. The one that we tried didn’t disappoint! Grilled Baltic Herring paired with creamy mash and lingonberry sauce, where have you been all my life?!? It was so delicious and I would go back to Gothenburg just for that food truck. Hubs and I also visited a market and tried the the famous Kanelbullar (Swedish cinnamon buns), and again, I was taken aback of how insanely good it was. It seems like all we did in Gothenburg was eat, but we also walked off all those calories exploring the sights and shops in this chill city.
