Navigating through Northern Ireland: Game of Thrones (2/3)

Northern Ireland has a plethora of filming locations for the HBO tv series “Game of Thrones”, which was the cherry on top to an already great itinerary.  Hubs and I coincidentally have been to several places where GoT films – Spain, Croatia, and Malta. It was really neat to go on journeys into Westeros all while driving on the scenic Causeway Coastal Route. Most filming locations doubled as must-see sights in Northern Ireland, so it was killing two Jon Snows with one stone.

The Dark Hedges (Kings Road)

Ballintoy Harbor (Pyke, The Iron Islands)

Mussenden Temple (where Stannis Baratheon visited with Melisandre)

Cushendun Caves (Storms End-where Melisandre had her shadow baby)

Carnlough Harbour (where Arya resurfaces after presumed dead)
