747 My name is Elaine and I was born and raised in Maryland. At a very young age, I developed a wanderlust with the world and was determined to get to know it. Five continents later, I find myself now living in Europe. In Vienna, Austria to be exact. How the heck did I get here? My wonderful husband landed a job at a little place called the United Nations. With that, we packed up our lives and moved across the ocean with our dog. I’ve created this blog to document our expat adventures for our family and friends to keep up with us. It’ll also be a “forever” journal for when we are old and gray, and want to look back at this time in our lives.

Let the adventures commence…

  1. Hi Elaine! Just a stranger saying that he enjoyed perusing your blog! I was in Vienna this past summer for a few months and absolutely loved it! I’m hoping to go back sometime for work. Glad to see other Americans adapting to life in Austria! I can only hope to one day be in your shoes.

    Liebe Grüße,
